USTA Eastern Team Sectional Championships

In USTA Eastern's Team Sectional Championships, teams within each of our six regions compete to capture the section championship title.

2024 Format (NEW!)

 

The USTA Eastern Team Sectional Championship is open to all teams and players across the section who meet eligibility criteria. Those who participate can earn L5 Closed points (Advanced Division) and L6 points (Intermediate Division).

 

2024 Pre-Registration

 

Team Registration

All prospective teams for the USTA Eastern Team Sectional Championships should complete the Team Registration Form only once they have secured a Safe Play-approved coach and the minimum number of players.

 

Team Composition

Each team's roster MUST include a minimum of three boys and three girls, with a minimum of two boys and two girls eligible to play a match.

 

Team Selection

Each division (see "Divisions" below) can include a maximum of 16 teams. Teams will be selected based on a combined WTN Rating. Organizers will use the WTN Rating that is available at the time of the registration deadline.

 

Divisions 

 

Championship Team Tennis in the USTA Eastern section is divided by age group—12 & Under (12U), 14 & Under (14U) and 18 & Under (18U)—and the following levels:

 

Advanced Level: Advanced Level competition for Championship Team Tennis is classified as an L5 Closed event. Only Eastern players are permitted to participate. This division is ideal for players who want to mix up their singles tournament schedule with the fun of team competition. 

 

Intermediate Level: Intermediate Level competition for Championship Team Tennis is classified as an L6 event. Players in this division should have a few L6 and/or L7 USTA tournaments played under their belt and/or practice a few times per week. This division is also perfect for JV high school players.

2024 Championships

 

Teams in the 18U Advanced Division will also play for the chance to represent USTA Eastern at the WTT Junior National Championships.

 

2024 Team Sectional Championships

  • 12, 14U & 18U Intermediate & Advanced Divisions: May 11-12, 2024

 

2024 WTT Junior National Championships

  • 18U Advanced Divisions: July (Date TBD)
