2018 Roland Garros Wild Card Challenge

One American man and one American woman will earn a singles main-draw wild card into the 2018 French Open by winning the Roland Garros Wild Card Challenge.
 
MEN

The USTA will award one men’s singles main-draw wild card into the 2018 French Open based on performance in any two professional outdoor clay (Har-Tru or Red) Challenger Tour-level events and above in the world over a four-week period. The wild card will be awarded to the American player with the highest total of cumulative ATP singles ranking points (both qualifying and main draw) from two of the following tournaments:

 

  • Week of April 9: Houston ATP 250, Marrakech ATP 250, Mexico City $100,000, Barletta €43,000
  • Week of April 16: Monte Carlo Masters ATP 1000, Sarasota, Fla. $100,000, Tunis $75,000
  • Week of April 23: Barcelona ATP 500, Budapest ATP 250, Anning $150,000, Tallahassee $75,000, Francavilla €43,000
  • Week of April 30: Munich ATP 250, Estoril ATP 250, Istanbul ATP 250, Savannah, Ga. $75,000, Ostrava €64,000

 

WOMEN

 

The USTA will be awarding one women’s singles main-draw wild card into the 2018 French Open to the American player who earns the highest total of cumulative main-draw WTA singles ranking points at two of the following four USTA Pro Circuit events:

 

  • Week of April 9: $60,000 Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.
  • Week of April 16: $80,000 Dothan, Ala.
  • Week of April 23: $80,000 Charlottesville, Va.
  • Week of April 30: $80,000 Charleston, S.C.

May 7 update:

Noah Rubin and Taylor Townsend have won the men's and women's challenges, respectively. Rubin will be making his French Open debut, while Townsend will compete in her fifth consecutive French Open main draw.

 

April 30 update:

Noah Rubin won the $75,000 USTA Pro Circuit and ATP Challenger event in Tallahassee, Fla., to take a healthy lead in the men's Roland Garros WIld Card Challenge. On the women's side, Taylor Townsend cemented a commanding lead by reaching the semifinals of the $80,000 USTA Pro Circuit event in Charlottesville, Va.

 

April 23 update:
Taylor Townsend captured the singles title at last week's $80,000 USTA Pro Circuit event in Dothan, Ala., to move into the lead in the women's Roland Garros Wild Card Challenge standings. Meanwhile, Reilly Opelka is currently in line to claim the men's French Open wild card after reaching the semifinals of the $100,000 Challenger in Sarasota, Fla.
