USTA Junior Circuit



Ready to move into individual match play? A USTA Junior Circuit is an event that uses a non-elimination, round-robin draw format for players of all ages so you can gain match experience in a tournament setting and then see your individual results. USTA Junior Circuits do not count towards earning national ranking points.

 

 

GETTING STARTED

FIND AND REGISTER FOR JUNIOR CIRCUIT EVENTS

 

These fun events give players the opportunity to develop their skills through level-based play while learning and demonstrating good sportsmanship. Here are some key benefits to exploring USTA Junior Circuit events near you!

  • A single event, up to a half-day, providing a competitive environment and guaranteeing individual match play for all players.
  • Play between 2 and 4 matches based on the number of players in each flight
  • Organizers can choose to use orange, green or yellow tennis balls.

 

When Should I Start Playing in USTA Junior Circuit Events?

Players are recommended to play in either a USTA Team Challenge or USTA Junior Team Tennis before a USTA Junior Circuit. Players are expected to be able to serve, maintain a rally and know how to keep score plus have some competitive tennis experience.

USTA Junior Circuit Counts Towards the Net Generation PlayTracker

For players ages 10 and under, they will receive PlayTracker points for every USTA Junior Circuit they participate in. Learn more about the PlayTracker here

 

When am I ready to move up to ranked USTA Junior Tournaments?

When you are winning matches and feel ready for a more competitive level of play, you can move to ranked match play in USTA Junior Tournaments. USTA Junior Tournaments offer seven levels of events, all of which earn players national ranking points, so you can continue to improve and grow.
