Eight champions of grassroots tennis honored with 2024 USTA national awards

Eight advocates for the sport of tennis at the grassroots and local levels were honored with national awards at last week's 2024 USTA Annual Meeting and Conference in Orlando, Fla.

 

The USTA presented annual honors of the following awards: Adaptive Tennis Award, Barbara Williams Service Award, Brad Parks Award, Eve Kraft Outstanding Service Award, USTA Family of the Year, Member Organization of the Year, NJTL of the Year Award and NJTL Founders’ Service Award.

Adaptive Tennis Award: Tennis for Fun (Brandon, Fla.)

Barbara Williams Award: Christine Costamagna (San Rafael, Calif.)

Brad Parks Award: Baton Rouge Wheelchair Tennis Association (Baton Rouge, La.)

Eve Kraft Outstanding Service Award: Jim Flesch (Wilmington, Del.)

Family of the Year: The Minor Family (Chicago)

Member Organization of the Year Award: Miracle Hill Golf and Tennis Center (Omaha, Neb.)

NJTL Founders’ Service Award: Charlie Pasarell (Palm Springs, Calif.)

NJTL of the Year Award: Junior Tennis Champions' Center (College Park, Md.)

The USTA Annual Meeting and Conference brings together USTA leadership, national staff, national committee members and section volunteers and staff in pursuit of the USTA mission: promoting tennis to inspire healthier people and communities everywhere.
