Social Tennis
Flashback Fridays
Want some guaranteed court time and play with others at your level (3.5-4.0) without any organizing on your own? We have a deal for you! Spend your Friday nights on the tennis court! This self-led play can include a short warmup followed by games like Dingles, Champion of the Court, and Up and Down the River. You make the rules and have all the fun!
All players should bring a can of balls bi-weekly to help with facilitating play.
West Loop Wednesdays
Players of ages 18-39 with an NTRP of 3.0-4.0 play friendly rounds of an "Up and Down the River" play format. Each week four players will be asked to supply a new can of balls each, one can per court, for round robin play. Play will take place at the Katrina Adams Tennis Courts (125 South Laflin St., Chicago, IL, 60607) from 6-8 pm.
Cost is $60 for the full 4-week session.
Format of Play: 4 rounds of singles or doubles will be played over two hours. After 30 minutes of play, the leading player or pair will move up to the higher court, losing player or pair will move down (e.g., if playing on court 3 and you are leading 4 games to 3 games, you and your partner will move up to court 2, losing player or pair will move down to court 4). All games played will use no-ad scoring. At the start of each additional round of play for doubles, pairs will split to play with a new partner for that round.
Registration is full.
