Resources: Youth Athletes

The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent nonprofit organization responsible for responding to and preventing emotional, physical, and sexual misconduct and abuse in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement. The Center also serves as an educational resource for sports organizations at all levels, from recreational sports organizations to professional leagues.

Training Resources for Youth Athletes

The U.S. Center for SafeSport youth training courses are available. These free online trainings are designed as an introduction for minor athletes and their parents or other caregivers to understand the importance of positive, welcoming environments in sports, where misconduct like bullying or abuse is less likely to happen, and to know where to report abuse, should it occur. To access the trainings, please create a free account and click SafeSport for Kids (for athletes ages 5-12) or SafeSport for Youth Athletes (for athletes ages 13-17). Please note that parental consent will be required prior to accessing these trainings online.
