Tennis for School Teachers
Tennis is an ideal sport for children that will allow them to stay healthy and fit.
Why Tennis?
- Tennis is fun, easy and safe
- No courts needed – Tennis can be played in any space
- Kid-friendly equipment is great for any age and level
In conjunction with SHAPE America (Society of Health and Physical Education), we’ve created comprehensive lesson plans for K-12 to give teachers the tools to teach tennis in Physical Education classes.

Benefits of tennis in schools:
- Get better grades – 48 percent have an “A” average
- Have college aspirations – 81 percent say they will attend college
- Are better behaved – 73 percent have never been sent to the principal’s office
- Are more well-rounded – 82 percent volunteer in their communities
Free Resources
- Curricula: Print and online K-12 curricula.
- School Activity Videos: Step-by-step standards based school activity videos.
- Training Opportunities: In-person or on-line training to learn and utilize the curricula and equipment appropriately.
- Equipment: Partner with a local coach or organization and receive free equipment including a roller bag, youth racquets (30), red-level balls (36), along with chalk and Net Generation barrier tape to create nets and draw courts. *Items subject to change
