The USTA's Play Facilitators and Coaching Fundamentals Workshops differ in focus to meet the coach’s specific needs. The Coaching Fundamentals Workshop focuses on coaching principles and skills for beginner to low-intermediate players. It certifies coaches as Level 1 upon meeting additional requirements.

 

The Play Facilitators Workshop emphasizes core principles, including competence, confidence, connection, character and creativity, to create a joyful and player-centric environment. It aims to empower coaches to shape tennis development for beginners.

This immersive experience will empower you to have a lasting impact on the tennis journeys of players at every age level.

  • Anyone who has an interest in delivering tennis to beginner tennis players.

USTA Coaching Fundamentals Workshop

The USTA’s Coaching Fundamentals Workshop is a two-day, in-person training focusing on coaching principles and building skills to teach beginner to low-intermediate players of all ages.

 

Coaches who complete the workshop will have the opportunity to be certified as a Level 1 coach with an accredited certification organization upon meeting additional membership/certification requirements.

 

Once you’re registered, the Coach Learning Center can help you on your coaching journey, and is home to a suite of tools, workshops, and resources.
